The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has prepared a supplement analysis (SA) for the Proposed Shipment of High Burnup Research Cask to Idaho National Laboratory for Research and Development Purposes (DOE/EIS-0203-SA-10 and DOE/EIS-0250-S1-SA-03). In coordination with the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), DOE is proposing to ship the loaded High Burnup Research Cask (HBURC) by rail from the North Anna Power Station (NAPS) in Louisa County, Virginia, to the Idaho National Laboratory (INL) site for further examination. The Federal proposed action evaluated in this SA includes activities prior to shipment at NAPS, during the shipment, and associated with receipt and handling at the INL site.
