The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Energy Dominance Financing (EDF) issued an environmental assessment (EA) and Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for Willow Rock Energy Storage Center (DOE/EA-2326). The EA assesses the environmental impacts of providing potential financial assistance (a federal loan guarantee) for construction and operation of the Willow Rock Energy Storage Center (WRESC) in Kern County, California.
