DOE/EA-2300: Amanecer Puerto Rico Photovoltaic and Battery Energy Storage System Portfolio; Santa Isabel, Puerto Rico

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Energy Dominance Financing (EDF) (formerly Loan Programs Office) has issued an environmental assessment (EA) and finding of no significant impact (FONSI) for Amanecer Puerto Rico Photovoltaic and Battery Energy Storage System Portfolio (DOE/EA-2300). This EA assesses the potential environmental impacts associated with providing potential financial assistance (a federal loan guarantee) for the construction and operation of three proposed facilities at two separate locations, consisting of one photovoltaic energy generation facility (Barceloneta Solar) and one co-located battery energy storage system (Barceloneta Storage) near Arecibo, and one stand-alone battery energy storage system (Santa Isabel Storage) near Santa Isabel.
