The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Loan Programs Office (LPO) has issued a Final Environmental Assessment (EA) and signed Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) regarding the environmental effects of providing potential financial assistance (a federal loan) for the construction of a new lithium from geothermal brine production facility in Imperial County, California.
The Finding of No Significant Impact should not be construed as a final decision about issuance of a federal loan.
