The National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) issued a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) and a decision notice based on the environmental assessment for the Los Alamos National Laboratory Electrical Power Capacity Upgrade Project (DOE/EA-2199). The proposed action includes construction and operation of a new 14-mile 115-kV overhead electric power transmission line, continued maintenance outside the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) property boundary, and both transmission and distribution improvements and continued maintenance within the LANL property boundary.
