East Fork Irrigation District Modernization Project; Hood River County, Oregon
The USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) prepared a Watershed Plan-Environmental Assessment by for the East Fork Irrigation District Modernization Project with Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) as a cooperating agency. The project would convert the open irrigation canals to closed, pressurized irrigation infrastructure to improve the efficiency of the irrigation district. BPA would fund a portion of the project to improve the Eastside Lateral Pipeline in Hood River, Oregon, part of the East Fork Irrigation District’s distribution infrastructure. In November 2020, BPA adopted, as DOE/EA-2118, the final EA issued by NRCS in August 2020.
