The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) plans to deactivate, demolish, and disposition ancillary small structures, piping or equipment, and tanks at the Paducah Site that supported the former uranium enrichment facilities and are aging and/or deteriorated, and no longer needed.

July 14, 2026The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) plans to deactivate, demolish, and disposition ancillary small structures, piping or equipment, and tanks at the Paducah Site that supported the former uranium enrichment facilities and are aging and/or deteriorated, and no longer needed. Deactivation and demolition of these small structures and tanks will support DOE’s current mission of deactivation of the former uranium enrichment facilities at the site. Eight small structures and tanks are identified to be deactivated, demolished, and dispositioned in fiscal year (FY) 2026 and 2027.
