The Department of Energy is proposing to provide funding to the National Association for State Community Services Programs to provide training and technical assistance. The proposed efforts would include: training and orientation to new and existing Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) state directors and staff, conduct and coordinate energy related conferences and training, technical assistance for WAP state directors, assist with Grantee Communications to increase program awareness and recognized value of the WAP, and plan and organize regional conferences to provide training and information on DOE initiatives specific to each region.
