The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) withdraws a proposed determination to clarify its statutory authority to cover natural draft commercial boilers. In response to a 2013 notice of proposed determination on this issue, commenters indicated that the commercial packaged boiler industry and other interested parties already considered natural draft commercial packaged boilers to be covered equipment under the EPCA, and thus o further clarification is needed by DOE.
