The goal of this mercury precipitation experiments is to evaluate the use of NaI in the sequestering of mercury from a typical SRS radioactive sample (Tank 49H salt solution). The outcome of these experiments will be determined by analysis of the salt solution for total mercury and select mercury species before and after the contact tests.
