Brookhaven National Laboratory operates a 1940s 300,000 gallon water tower. Due to age, deficiencies and an increased potable water supply demand, the 300,000 gallon tank will be replaced by a 500,000 gallon tank. The 300,000 gallon tank will be demolished.
