CX-033545: A Model for Transition: Coal to Solar in West Virginia – Budget Period 1 – Nicholas County Solar Project (NCSP)

DOE's Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations (OCED) is proposing to provide funding to Nicholas County Solar Project, LLC (Nicholas County) in support of their project to develop a 250‐megawat MW utility‐scale solar photovoltaic (PV) and battery energy storage facility located in Nicholas County, West Virginia. The project would be built in two adjacent areas portions on land that was previously used for surface coal mines including the Nicholas County Solar Project (NCSP) and the Deep Lake Energy Center (DLEC).
