CX-033531: Demonstrating Hybrid Glass Furnace Technology to Support the Decarbonization of the United States Glass Industry Project– Phase 1

DOE's Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations (OCED) is proposing to provide funding to Gallow Glass Company (Gallo Glass) for Phase 1 of the Demonstrating Hybrid Glass Furnace Technology to Support the Decarbonization of the United States Glass Industry Project in Modesto, California. Gallo Glass is proposing to replace their existing refractory furnace with a hybrid electric melter (hybrid melter) to demonstrate the viability of hybrid-melting in the glass manufacturing process.
