The US Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to transition the Durita, Colorado, Disposal Site from the current licensee to Legacy Management (LM) for long-term custody and stewardship. The Durita site is located in Montrose County, approximately 100 miles south of Grand Junction and 3 miles southwest of Naturita. The proposed action would satisfy administrative, asset management, and post-transition long-term surveillance and maintenance (LTS and M) actions related to site transition.
