University of Maryland, in conjunction with Baltimore Aircoil Company, Boeing Company, Michigan Technological University, Honeywell International Inc. - Aerospace Division, and Solid Concepts Inc., proposes to develop next-generation air-cooled heat exchangers that can operate in dry or hybrid mode and substantially reduce (or eventually eliminate) the cooling water consumption in condenser cooling of stream electric generation plants.
