Since installation of the Smart Ditch® in 2010, routine inspections have determined that there is significant surface erosion at the northeast corner of Lagoon 3. Storm water discharges at outfall S-09 are causing progressive and ongoing surficial slope failure at the outboard embankment slope from the crest to the toe at Erdman Brook. This erosion is impacting the integrity of the Lagoon 3 embankment.
