The H Tank Farm storm water waste stream includes rainwater runoff, well water, process steam condensate and cooling tower blow downs. Sample results from HTF storm water zones 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 show concentrations of copper above the ETF WAC limit of 0.025 mg/L. The deviation is to allow H Tank Farm streams disposed of into the HRB to have a copper concentration of up to 0.1 mg/L. Receipt of copper above the regulatory limit for discharge is acceptable given the procedural controls governing discharge from the HRB requires pre-transfer sampling and verification that the copper level is within limits. See SW22.1-CHEM, section 7.3 and SW22.1-Basin, step 4.13.3.5.
