The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide federal funding to the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research (UCAR) to research and develop a solar power forecasting system that advances state-of-the-science through cutting edge research and test it with several high penetration solar utilities and independent system operators with geographic and climatological diversity.
