The State of Wisconsin will provide $266,000 in Recovery Act funds to Orion Energy Systems to install a 273 kilowatt roof mounted solar photovoltaic (PV) system on their Manitowoc, Wisconsin facility. The project scope includes the acquisition and installation of approximately 1,500 solar panels, inverter system, and related materials of construction. The system will cover approximately 58,000 square feet of the Orion Energy Systems' manufacturing facility roof. The system has been appropriately designed for installation on the existing building. System installation will not require new construction or land disturbance; the current footprint of the building will not change. The project will have no impact on wetlands, floodplains, coastal zones, threatened and endangered species, or cultural resources.
