The Sustainability Performance Division (SPD) sponsors the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Sustainability Awards to recognize outstanding sustainability contributions of individuals and teams at DOE facilities across the country. DOE Sustainability Awards celebrate excellence in energy, water, and fleet management, as well as achievements in projects representing exemplary sustainability practices. The deadline to apply is June 15th, 2020.

Federal Energy and Water Management Awards
The Federal Energy Management Program, in conjunction with the Federal Interagency Energy Policy Committee, sponsors the Federal Energy and Water Management Awards, which honor individuals and organizations making significant contributions to energy and water efficiency across the federal government.
FEMP has released the Criteria and Guidelines for the 2020 Federal Energy and Water Management Awards. All award nominations must be submitted through the FEMP Central awards nomination portal by May 8th, 2020.
The awards recognize outstanding achievements in:
- Energy and water efficiency and conservation
- Renewable energy implementation
- Sustainable practices for high-performance buildings
- Fleet and transportation management.
FEMP FEDS Spotlight Awards
The Federal Energy Management Program invites federal agency representatives to nominate energy champions for the FEDS Spotlight award. If DOE sites have a recommendation for a nomination, please submit the nomination form to firstname.lastname@example.org by April 27th, 2020. The FEDS Spotlight award winners will be recognized at the 2020 Energy Exchange in Atlanta, Georgia on Wednesday, August 12.

The Federal Green Challenge, a national effort under the EPA’s Sustainable Materials Management Program, challenges EPA and other federal agencies throughout the country to lead by example in reducing the federal government's environmental impact in the areas of waste, electronics, purchasing, energy, water, and transportation.
