Naturita, Colorado, Disposal Site

The Naturita disposal site, a Uranium Mill Tailings Radiation Control Act (UMTRCA) Title I site, is licensed to  the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) for custody and long-term care, and managed by the Office of Legacy Management. The site was licensed to DOE in 1999, requiring routine inspection and maintenance, records-related activities, and stakeholder support as part of long-term care responsibilities.

Naturita, Colorado, Processing Site

The Naturita processing site, a Uranium Mill Tailings Radiation Control Act (UMTRCA) Title I site, is managed by the Office of Legacy Management. The site requires routine surface and groundwater sampling, well maintenance, records-related activities, and stakeholder support.
