The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Legacy Management (LM) is conducting a five-year review of the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) remedy at the Rocky Flats Site.

The purpose of the five-year review is to evaluate remedy performance to determine if it remains protective of human health and the environment. The Rocky Flats Site remedy consists of institutional and physical controls, monitoring, and maintenance. The Rocky Flats Site five-year review team will conduct a remedy performance technical assessment based on monitoring data, inspection and surveillance reports, changes in risk assessment parameters, and other relevant information. Results of the five-year review will be documented in a Five-Year Review report to be completed by August 2022.

LM will provide additional information and answer public questions at the November 1, 2021, Rocky Flats Stewardship Council public meeting. For more information on the Rocky Flats Stewardship Council, visit www.rockyflatssc.org/.

Members of the public may provide input on the five-year review by sending comments to: Rocky Flats Site Five-Year Review Comments, 11035 Dover Street, Suite 600, Westminster, CO 80021 or by email to rfinfo@lm.doe.gov.

Public input must be received in writing no later than December 31,2021, to be considered in the report. To adhere to the review schedule, written input received after this date shall not be incorporated.
