Tribal Nations and Native Communities Resource Guide (PDF Download)
Indigenous and Tribal communities across America are taking charge in the national effort to modernize and sustain our power grids. Many communities have already launched ambitious plans to upgrade and improve their grids, lowering electric bills by building out renewable energy capacities and increasing resilience so that changing oil prices don’t affect power access across reservations.
The Department of Energy is proud to provide Indigenous communities across the country with the resources and information they need to continue these plans for grid modernization and sustainable energy. We’ll be by your side every step of the way with new funding opportunities and appropriations, technical assistance, and contact with real people—not chat systems—who can help answer questions and direct you toward solutions.
