The Hydrocarbons and Geothermal Energy Office gives notice of receipt of an application, filed on May 22, 2026, by Power LNG LLC (Power), requesting long-term authorization to export domestically produced liquefied natural gas (LNG) in an amount up to the equivalent of 51.75 billion cubic feet (Bcf) of natural gas per year.  Power requests authorization to export LNG to any country with which the United States currently has, or in the future may enter into, a free trade agreement requiring national treatment for trade in natural gas (FTA countries).  The authorization is requested through December 31, 2050.  Power plans to transport the LNG in approved International Organization for Standardization (ISO) containers from its proposed Project Seawolf facility in Galveston, Texas, where the ISO containers will be loaded onto ocean-going carriers for delivery to FTA countries.  Power requests this authorization on its own behalf and as agent for other parties who hold title to the LNG at the time of export.
