DOE ordered Visual Comfort & Co. (“Visual Comfort”) to pay a $40,000 civil penalty after finding Visual Comfort had failed to certify that certain models of large-diameter ceiling fans comply with the applicable energy conservation standard[s]. The Order adopted a Settlement Agreement, which reflected settlement terms between DOE and Visual Comfort.
