DOE ordered Saturn Equipment Primoris Inc. to abide by the terms of the Notice of Noncompliance Determination after DOE testing showed that Saturn model PUC-28F self-contained commercial freezer does not comply with the energy conservation standards.  Saturn had manufactured and distributed in commerce in the U.S. multiple units of the model.  The Order adopted a Compromise Agreement, which reflected settlement terms between DOE and Saturn.

DOE issued a Notice of Noncompliance Determination to Saturn on January 28, 2016, finding that Saturn model PUC-28F does not comport with the energy conservation standards.  DOE determined the products were noncompliant based on DOE testing.  Saturn notified each person (or company) to whom Saturn distributed the noncompliant products that the products do not meet Federal standards.  In addition, Saturn provided to DOE documents and records showing the number of units Saturn distributed and to whom.
