DOE ordered High Performance Fan Company, LLC (“HPF”) to pay a $2,000 civil penalty after finding HPF had failed to certify that certain models of large-diameter ceiling fans comply with the applicable energy conservation standards before distributing them in commerce. The Order adopted a Settlement Agreement that reflected settlement terms between DOE and HPF.
