DOE ordered Guangdong Chigo Heating &Ventilation Equipment Co., Ltd.(“Chigo”) to pay a $300,000 civil penalty after finding Chigo had failed to certify that certain models of central air conditioner and central air conditioning heat pump comply with the applicable energy conservation standards. The Order adopted a Settlement Agreement, which reflected settlement terms between DOE and Chigo.
