DOE ordered Carrier Corporation (Carrier) to pay a $5,500 civil penalty after Carrier had manufactured and distributed in commerce in the U.S. multiple units of the noncompliant Carrier commercial package air conditioners and central air conditioning heat pumps basic models. The Order adopted a Compromise Agreement, which reflected settlement terms between DOE and Carrier.
