DOE’s National Science Bowl® is a nationwide academic competition that tests students’ knowledge in all areas of science and mathematics. Middle and high school student teams face-off in a fast-paced question-and-answer format, being tested on a range of science disciplines including biology, chemistry, Earth science, physics, energy, and math.

Mickey Leland Energy Fellowship Program
The Mickey Leland Energy Fellowship (MLEF) program is a 10-week summer research fellowship which aims to improve opportunities for under-represented graduate and undergraduate students in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields and strengthen a diverse pipeline of future STEM professionals. MLEF students train under the mentorship of scientists and engineers while completing a mission-focused research project.
The Historically Black Colleges and Universities and Other Minority Institutions (HBCU-OMI) Program The HBCU-OMI Program—sponsored by the Office of Fossil Energy and Carbon Management and administered by the National Energy Technology Laboratory—invests in developing a U.S. workforce that is diverse and highly skilled in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) through training and education grants.
FECM is looking for enthusiastic, driven professionals to join our team and help lead the charge on clean energy. We are seeking highly skilled individuals who are passionate about helping FECM achieve its mission of minimizing the environmental impacts of fossil fuels while working toward net-zero emissions.
