Six years went by in a blink and a lot has changed! I was a county commissioner when first appointed to the CAB in 2014, but served the last couple of years of my term as a private citizen. Whether serving as a public official or a private citizen, my role on the CAB did not change. I was part of a dedicated group of people from all walks of life who have a desire and interest in the mission of the Idaho Cleanup Project.

During my time on the board, I learned so much about the history, function, and role that the Idaho Cleanup Project plays in Idaho. And especially, the vital importance of the Idaho Settlement Agreement to monitor and advance the cleanup for the benefit of all Idahoans.

Of particular note is that during my tenure, board members, like me, have left and support staff has also come and gone. However, the quality of DOE's information and the dedication of Department officials has remained the same or surpassed itself.

I am thankful to have the experience and opportunity on the CAB and encourage all newcomers to dig in, self-study, be bold and inquisitive, and most of all enjoy the comradery you will share with your fellow CAB members!
