The U.S. Department of Energy Office of Environmental Management announced today it awarded the EM Consolidated Technical Support Services contract to Catawba TEAPEC LLC, a Small Business Administration (SBA) 8(a) from Rock Hill, South Carolina.

June 26, 2025CINCINNATI — The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Environmental Management (EM) announced today it awarded the EM Consolidated Technical Support Services contract to Catawba TEAPEC LLC, a Small Business Administration (SBA) 8(a) from Rock Hill, South Carolina. Catawba TEAPEC LLC is a limited liability company and a joint venture with Catawba Engineering and Environmental Services, Trinity Engineering Associates Inc. (TEA) and Project Enhancement Corporation.
The selected contractor will support EM’s mission by performing the following technical support services to EM headquarters, field offices and sub-offices with a comprehensive array of technical support specific, but not limited, to:
- Safety management and quality assurance;
- Developing tank waste strategies and technologies;
- Developing new and innovative technologies for waste management;
- Supporting the planning and execution of EM waste and materials disposition;
- Developing policy and guidance on regulatory compliance; and
- Developing intergovernmental stakeholder programs.
This is a performance-based contract containing cost-plus-fixed fee with a firm-fixed price contract line-item for transition with a maximum period of performance of five years, which includes a 90-day transition period and a total contract value of $85,397,735.
This contract replaces the current bridge indefinite delivery indefinite quantity contract, held by Catawba TEA LLC, which ordering period expired on Dec. 21, 2024, and all task orders currently expiring on Aug. 13, 2025.
