On February 26, 2021, at Los Alamos National Laboratory in PF-4, Pit Technologies (PT) programmatic personnel observed sparks emanating from a waste drum into a glovebox. The drum was attached to the glovebox and personnel were dropping items into the drum as part of a drumout evolution. Immediately, the Operator and others in the work area observed sparks emanating from the drum. The event and response timelines are detailed in Section 2 of this report.
