The SMART Mobility Consortium is an effort led by the Department of Energy (DOE) and multiple National Laboratories that aims to deliver new data, analysis, and modeling tools, and create new knowledge to support smarter mobility systems.

This page provides details on the outputs from the most recent phase of SMART Mobility research ("SMART 2.0") as well as from the initial phase ("SMART 1.0") that concluded in 2020. You may contact eems@ee.doe.gov with follow-up questions on the material presented here, or to be put in touch with an appropriate national laboratory researcher based on your follow-up interests.

Webinar Series - SMART 2.0

The table below details the dates, times, subjects, and presenters of the EEMS SMART Mobility 2.0 webinar series that kicked off in February 2023.

Capstone Reports

After three years researching the complex interactions of future mobility technologies and services, DOE’s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) has published a series of six SMART Mobility Capstone reports, summarizing the consortium’s research methods, results, and insights for the following research pillars.
