Chief Investment Officer, Office of Energy Dominance Financing (EDF)
Hernan Cortes is the Chief Investment Officer for the Department of Energy’s Office of Energy Dominance Financing (EDF). Previously, Mr. Cortes served as Director of the Portfolio Management Division, which is tasked with assuring that the performance of approved projects is technically sound and project sponsors adhere to EDF financial terms and conditions necessary to maintain repayment schedules. Prior to joining EDF, Mr. Cortes served as Director of Corporate Finance for Edison Mission Energy, where he led corporate and project finance transactions for the global energy company.
