On July 29, 2025, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Enforcement issued an Enforcement Letter (WEL-2025-XX) to The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company, LLC, for deficiencies in implementing DOE’s 10 C.F.R. Part 851 Worker Safety and Health Program requirements related to a worker injury when struck by a telehandler truss boom attachment at the at the Translational Research Facility at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory.
