On July 31, 2025, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Enforcement issued an Enforcement Letter to Mission Support and Test Services, LLC, (WEL-2025-04) for deficiencies in implementing DOE’s 10 C.F.R. Part 851 Worker Safety and Health Program requirements related to the detonation of an explosive test article inside a clear polycarbonate Radio Frequency Boom Box at the Nevada National Security Sites’ Special Technologies Laboratory.
