We’re talking about energy vampires  -- evil ghouls that suck electrical power from your appliances when you aren’t using them, taking a big bite out of your wallet. 

Weatherization Warriors

For 40 years, the Energy Department's Weatherization Assistance Program has helped more than 7 million low-income families save energy and money by increasing the energy efficiency of their homes while ensuring their health and safety. The program provides grants to states, territories, and Indian tribes who contract with local governments and nonprofit agencies to provide weatherization services to those in need using the latest technologies for home energy upgrades.
