EM’s West Valley Demonstration Project safely demolished a former security guardhouse built in 1965, one of the first facilities constructed at the former commercial nuclear fuel reprocessing facility.

Crews with EM Richland Operations Office contractor Central Plateau Cleanup Company (CPCCo) recently completed construction of the Integrated Disposal Facility (IDF), a key component of the Direct-Feed Low-Activity Waste Program to treat the Hanford Site’s tank waste.

FECM and NETL, in partnership with the University of Texas at Austin, completed a Gulf of Mexico drilling and coring expedition as part of DOE’s methane hydrates research and development program.
