This year’s MLEF program included 56 undergraduate and graduate students representing 43 academic institutions, with 37% of participants attending a minority serving institution.

The High Bay Laboratory project at Sandia National Laboratories in Livermore, California, is a new modern facility dedicated to supporting advanced testing, manufacturing, and system integration of weapon components for the NNSA mission.

Last week, NNSA opened its Radiological Assistance Program (RAP) Regional Operation Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The facility will also be the home of RAP Region 4.

DOE’s Oak Ridge Office of Environmental Management (OREM) logged another successful year, achieving all of its EM priorities for 2023 and advancing cleanup across the site.

The EM Los Alamos Field Office (EM-LA) and its legacy cleanup contractor at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) are making steady progress in a key program central to the legacy cleanup mission.

EM recently awarded performance-based fees payments to 14 of its contractors at sites across the DOE complex, including Hanford, Savannah River, Oak Ridge, Paducah, Portsmouth, Nevada, Idaho, Los Alamos, Waste Isolation Pilot Plant and Savannah River National Laboratory.
