In October 2013, 19 teams from colleges and universities in the United States, Austria, Canada, and the Czech Republic competed to design, build, and operate the most attractive and energy-efficient house in the 2013 Build Challenge.
On Oct. 12, Team Austria: Vienna University of Technology was declared victorious. Close behind were the University of Nevada Las Vegas and Czech Republic: Czech Technical University.
