WASHINGTON, D.C. — On September 29, 2017, U.S. Department of Energy Secretary Rick Perry will travel to Piketon, OH to visit DOE’s Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant. DOE's Office of Environmental Management commenced its environmental cleanup program at the site in 1989 and the effort continues today in cooperation with the U.S. and Ohio Environmental Protection Agencies. Secretary Perry will tour the Portsmouth Site with U.S. Senator Rob Portman (R-OH).
