Secretary Brouillette to Travel to Hanford Site and Pacific Northwest National Laboratory

WASHINGTON, D.C. – On Thursday, August 13, 2020, U.S. Secretary of Energy Dan Brouillette will be in Richland, Washington to participate in a tour of AVANTech and Hanford Site. He will discuss the Department of Energy’s commitment to environmental management at the Hanford Site and highlight progress that has been made since 2016.

On Friday, August 14, Secretary Brouillette will head to Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) to participate in a site dedication for the Grid Storage Launchpad (GSL) and sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on energy storage with the Washington State Department of Commerce. Energy storage research at PNNL and the GSL are an integral part of DOE’s Energy Storage Grand Challenge.
