On July 16, 2024, the Office of Hearings and Appeals (OHA) denied the Freedom of Information (FOIA) Appeal filed by Nick Sangillo (Appellant) from an interim determination letter issued by the Department of Energy's (DOE) National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). On appeal, the Appellant challenged the decision to deny his request for expedited processing. The Appellant did not meet his burden to show that there was a compelling need to expedite the processing of his request . Therefore, we denied the appeal. (OHA Case No. FIA-24-0038)
