The researcher will release headstarted gopher frogs at three sites and compare survival under different release and vegetative restoration methods. Research will be conducted at various Carolina Bays. This work is part of a statewide initiative to increase gopher frog populations and potentially help the species avoid federal listing. Researchers will also undertake a survey of upland snakes to compare occupancy across habitats that have different forest management histories.
