he MRL is used for the synthesis and production of materials in support of Oil and Gas, Coal, and Critical Minerals Centers of Excellence research. Material synthesis work performed primarily consists of various wet-chemical techniques to produce reactive materials (catalysts), mineral extraction, reaction mixtures etc. The end products include temperature treated oxides, carbides, reduced metals, phosphates, and nitrated compounds.
