The U.S. Department of Energy is providing a permit for archaeological investigations for approximately 3.94 acres near Duct Island at the east Tennessee Technology Park. Activities authorized includes a Phase I Archaeological Survey and Recordation, Academic Research / Literature Review, Shovel Testing and Minimal Excavation (10 cm below subsoil), and Artifact Analysis.
