Los Alamos National Laboratory Statement of Findings for the Technical Area 72 Outdoor Live Fire Range Storage Magazines Project

The National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), a semi-autonomous agency within the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), issued a Statement of Findings for the new construction in lower Sandia Canyon at Technical Area 72 (TA-72) at the Outdoor Live Fire Range facility at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL). The action consists of installing two prefabricated storage magazines and associated infrastructure and supporting infrastructure to facilitate mission requirements of maintaining a trained and qualified armed Protective Force and to improve range safety. The floodplain assessment and comment period were completed in accordance with 10 CFR 1022.
