The National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), a semi-autonomous agency within the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), issued a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) based on the environmental assessment (EA) for the Material Staging Capability Facility at the Pantex Plant (DOE/EA-2306). The EA analyzes the potential environmental impacts associated with constructing and operating the Material Staging Capability facility (MSC) at the Pantex Plant, located northeast of Amarillo, Texas.
