Independent Assessment of the Management of Safety Issues at the Hanford Site Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant
The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Enterprise Assessments (EA) conducted an independent assessment of the effectiveness of the management of safety issues at the Hanford Site Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant, which is managed and operated by Bechtel National, Inc. (BNI) and its subcontractor, Waste Treatment Completion Company, LLC (WTCC), for the DOE Hanford Field Office (HFO). The assessment was performed in April and May 2026.
